Link your web page to the #jethrotull
chat channel
Now you can invite everyone to the #jethrotull chat channel from your
web page.
To see how the direct link should work, click here.
Note: This will only work with MS Internet Explorer and Netscape
7 or above.
If your browser is set up correctly, then your chat client (ie., mIRC,
Pirch, Ircle) will open up and automatically log into the Afternet server
and join the #jethrotull channel. Kewl, huh?
Course, at first you may get a dialog box that asks whether you want to
"open this file" or "save this file". You will want to open the file
and uncheck the "always ask before opening this type"
box. This way, upon encountering a chat link in the future, your browser
will always open your chat client to use it.
#jethrotull IRC buttons
There are several buttons to use on your web page (more on the way).
Just choose a button you like and "save image as" to save to your hard drive.
The HTML code
Using A Direct Link
Copy & Paste the HTML code below into your page where you want
to place the button of your choice. Be sure to substitute the name of the
button file where it says "your image file name here" (leave the quotes in).
<!-- Code starts here... -->
<center><br>
<a href="irc://irc.afternet.org/jethrotull">
<img SRC="your image file name here" ALT="Click here to enter #jethrotull!"
VSPACE=10 NOSAVE BORDER=0 height=40 width=130></a>
</center>

Using the .chat file on this site
An alternative code (if you want all of your visitors to be
able to use the link, and not just MS Internet Explorer users) follows below.
This utilizes a .chat file placed on this site.
<!-- Code starts here... -->
<center><br>
<a href="https://jt-irc.tripod.com/jethrotull.chat">
<img SRC="your image file name here" ALT="Click here to enter #jethrotull!"
VSPACE=10 NOSAVE BORDER=0 height=40 width=130></a>
</center>
<!-- Code ends here -->
Linking to the Java Chat Portal
Still another alternative is to link to the JT-IRC Java Chat Portal.
Use the HTML code below for one of the buttons of your choice.
<!-- Code starts here... -->
<center><br>
<a href="http://users.1st.net/scthir/afternet/afternet.html">
<img SRC="your image file name here" ALT="Click here to enter #jethrotull!"
VSPACE=10 NOSAVE BORDER=0 height=40 width=130></a>
</center>
